Test Embed of "How to use Brainshark"
Well....this link did work but today, 12/27/11, I posted something else on this blog and saw that this link doesn't work. Not only that, but I went to the brainshark website to check the videos that I made and two of them are still listed but the screen is blank. It appears as my HARD WORK is gone...DELETED. I'll contact them to see what happened. - author of blog
If I get approval from Ms. Campbell, author of "Cuentos de Ensalada", I plan to embed this recording on my other blog.

Embedding Podcasts
I found this site and now want to test embedding it in Blogger. If it works, I could use embedded podcasts like this for extra credit on my school blog or embed the podcasts from this series that pertain to what we are studying in Spanish 4 in KidBlog for the students to listen to and answer questions about the information.
Elvira: Mi Horario(This link takes you to the recording in the actual website so you can click on other recordings. This was the URL listed on the podcast, below the information.)
or a different URL
Elvira: Mi Horario (copied URL from actual page)
(This links you to only the podcast with no option to listen to other podcasts. This was the URL at the top of the page when listening to the podcast.)

Horse Races ON THE BEACH!
![]() |
| Alonso Suárez http://flic.kr/p/5dAwEx |
If you love horse races, then here is one that has a twist to it. Instead of racing the horses on a racetrack, the race is held on the beach. Yes, on the beach. This event takes place the 2nd and 4th week in August every year. This year it takes places on August 10-12 and again on August 25-27. It kind of makes me want to book a flight to Spain and check it out!

Silent Movie
I found this video at EFL Classroom and plan to use it with one of the upper Spanish levels.
Find more videos like this on EFL CLASSROOM 2.0
I may use it for simple describing activities, or imperfect vs. preterit, have students add scenes, etc. How would you use it?

Using TodaysMeet
I haven't used this in class yet so I'm experimenting. I made a room available for 2 hours. It can be found HERE
If I can add the link to my teaching blog or to kidblog then my students should not have problems finding it. Possibly could use it as an outside class assignment in which they need to get on x number of times per marking period to discuss things online in Spanish.

Does anyone else feel that way?
What do I need to do to sign out? I've tried signing out from the dashboard, shutting down my internet browser and restarting firefox, etc. ---no luck. HELP!

MixBooks
An example of a mixbook in Spanish. My students could write a story, illustrate it, and then publish it in a mixbook to share with others in the class, at home, or family and friends that live in other parts of the state, U.S. or world.
Sketchcast
Thanks to webinar from Saturday from Class2.0, I found another site. This would be much easier to use if I had a graphic tablet. May have to look into getting one or maybe I could experiment with the one at work first to see how well it works.
E-Books
I recently found a source for e-books written in Spanish that I could use in class. This is a trial to see how to post them, how user-friendly they are, and if it is available at school or if it is blocked.

Twist our Words
Website where you choose the words to make a sentence. The news staff of Channel 4 say the words.
This may be handy for an ESL class. The teacher could give the list of words to the students and they could make sentences and then choose the best ones to make into videos. Not very useful for a foreign language class.
